Welcome. Choose your program and cabin, then explore your options. Every number updates as you go. This is an estimate, not a bill. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
Our Odyssey Initiative is the resident co-op scenario: a one-time buy-in on your cabin to join, then a shared monthly fee the elected Resident Board sets. Villa Vie Residences is the company's proposed scenario: no co-op buy-in, you pay their monthly rate plus the fuel surcharge. Switch between them to compare what each would cost you.

Step 1
Your situation and cabin
Tell us your program and cabin, then play with the options below. Every number updates as you go.

Fuel surcharge (experiment with the cost of fuel)
Heads up: fuel is priced by the ton, which is hard to picture, so here it is per gallon. Today it is about $1,450 a ton, roughly $5.40 a gallon, and that sets the $45/day rate. The $60/day tier starts at $1,500 a ton, only about 19 cents a gallon more. So a rise of just pennies a gallon (about 19 cents, or $50 a ton) would push the surcharge from $45 to $60 a day, roughly $456 more a month.

Step 3
Your monthly, your way
Turn items on to add them to your monthly, or off to take them off. A plus (+) adds to your cost; a minus (−) lowers it.
Lower your monthly — turn OFF what you don't need (− credit)
Add to your monthly — turn ON what you'd like (+ cost)

What happens to my credits and prepayments? How contributions are recorded and how repayment is being approached
Our Odyssey Initiative recognizes that residents have paid significantly to keep the Odyssey afloat. The next step is recording each resident's contributions, whether downpayments, prepayments, credits, loans to the company, fuel surcharges, Founders' credits, Option X, Endless Horizons/Golden Passport fees or other amounts. We will have a form/survey (coming soon) to record those amounts.
Once the registry is complete, we will total VVR's outstanding obligations and model what repayment could look like, and we will share the results with the community. Our Odyssey intends to reserve 50% of net proceeds from each new cabin sale toward repaying these obligations. We cannot guarantee repayment because it depends on sales and cash flow. We are also evaluating whether recognized credits could be applied against monthly fees once the new company is solvent. Any such offset would be approved by the Board and published in advance. Until then, please plan your finances using only the published fee schedule.

Total monthly and total yearly include all your Step 1 inputs: fuel, founders credit, and any amenities you turned on or off (and food & beverage for prepaid programs). Buy-in is a one-time join fee, not part of the yearly. On a phone, swipe the table left and right to see every column.

Built by residents, for residents. Have an idea for the next version, or spotted something to fix? Add it on our open Q&A page, where every question and suggestion is visible to everyone and we work from them together.
The people behind this are volunteers, nothing is guaranteed until official contracts or amendments are issued, and the Resident Board has the final say. This is a quick tool to help you picture the changes that may be coming, not an official document.
Estimates only, not a bill, an offer, or a contract. Built by residents for the Our Odyssey Initiative; not produced or endorsed by Villa Vie Residences. Final fees are set by the elected Resident Board and may differ. Figures shown are today's and may change, including for fuel, port fees, insurance, crew, supplies, and reserves.
